1) Main Valance—Used to frame the proscenium and mask the first electric. Typically made with heavy weight velour or synthetic velour, the same weight and color as the Main Traveler.
2) Main Traveler—Used to close the stage at the proscenium opening. Typically made with heavy weight velour or synthetic velour, colored to suit the performance space. Usually on a bi-parting traveler track, but can also be operated as a guillotine if the rigging system allows.
3) Masking Border—Used to mask the overhead rigging and electrics. Can be made with several different types of material by typically black in color and lighter in weight than the Main Curtain.
4) Masking Legs—Used to mask the stage wings. Typically made from the same material as the masking borders. They can be dead hung on roto-drapers, on traveler track or a combination.
5) Mid-Stage Traveler Curtain—Divides the stage in half, creating the ability to pre-set the upstage area while performing in the down-stage area. Helps with the flow of the show.

8) Scrim—Open weave curtain that can be seen through or opaque depending on whether the light source is in front or behind the scrim.
9) Cyclorama—Back setting curtain that is typically made with a heavy weight muslin and is usually light blue or white in color. Used to wash with color to set moods on stage.
